Introduction

The Project Thea Group is dedicated to maintaining the privacy of its users. We want to make sure that any information used is protected and in compliance with applicable privacy laws and regulations. We are not in the business of selling personal information about our users. Any information, such as telemetric/analytical data, is used for the sole purpose of ensuring that we deliver the best performance our website can offer. This privacy policy is effective with respect to any data that we have collected and/or will collect, if appropriate, and only relevant topics in accordance with this website's purpose will be highlighted.

Information We Do and Do Not Collect

Any information about users, in regards to PII (personally-identifiable information, such as real names) that is made public on any part of this website is done so by the sole discretion of the user(s) in question. We will never request any real-life information such as legal names, dates of birth, age, or any other demographic information that could also be considered PII.

Information That Is Retained Automatically

This website utilizes a username/password system across the site, and users can have multiple accounts. Usernames and passwords have to be retained on this website in order for it to work effectively. While usernames can be made public at account owners' discretion, passwords are not made public by any administration team member(s).

Use of Cookies

This website uses cookies and stores them on the users' computers automatically by their web browsers. These cookies are not used to collect any analytical data, as we do not permit the use of ads on this website to tailor to individual browsing habits. These cookies ARE used, however, for the users' benefit, only as far as experience preferences. We do not send any of this information to any third-party entities, nor any other affiliates.

By using this website, you are agreeing and consenting to our use of cookies to retain your preferences for this website.

Third-Party Services

As stated previously, no part of this website is utilized for handing over any information to any third-party entity. We will never disclose any information about users to any third parties.

Law Enforcement, Legal Requests, and Duties

Where permitted or required by local laws, including those related to data protection, the Project Thea Group may disclose or provide access to any of your account information pursuant to a legal request, such as a court order, search warrant, or subpoena, or in compliance with applicable laws, if we believe that we are required by the law, with or without notice to you or consent.

Retention and Security of your Information

Although user passwords are stored on a separate database server that is managed by the Project Thea Group, we cannot give out user passwords if requested by the users themselves or any other entity, due to how they are stored; passwords are hashed using an industry-standard security cipher, and only the hash is stored in association with the respective user account. Additionally, an extra layer of hashing, called a salt, is used to further protect user passwords. Because of this, passwords cannot be reverse-hashed; users who have forgotten their passwords will need to use any appropriate password reset links provided. Furthermore, any requests by anyone claiming to be a member of staff or site administration will never request users for their passwords.

Changes to this Policy

The Project Thea Group may change this policy at any time and from time to time. All updates and amendments will be effective immediately upon notice, which we may give by any means, including, but not limited to by posting a revised version of this policy or other notice on our website. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy often to stay informed of any changes that may affect you, as your continued use of the website signifies your continuing consent to be bound by this Privacy Policy.
